Countryside is one of San Antonio’s best kept secrets. It is conveniently located at the southeast side of Bitters Rd. and Hwy. 281N, a well known intersection just six minutes north of the San Antonio International Airport. Most of the (185) homes in Countryside were built between 1976 and 1979 by the well respected Prestige Homes who is still building homes in San Antonio today. The homes they built in Countryside had floor plans that were and are still very functional. All of the homes had unusually high ceilings for the time they were built. Most of the master bedrooms have outside access and walk in closets, the kitchens have good storage, as does the rest of the house (including attics) and the garages are oversized. Houses that ‘make sense’ built in a beautiful oak filled area has resulted in a very lovely established neighborhood that, in this case, has a location that is hard to beat.
